Ryan Greenwood Homicide

The following Homicide is still an open case with the Peoria Police Department.

On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at approximately 11:26 pm, Peoria Police responded to the area of the 1700 block of N Bigelow regarding a ShotSpotter alert indicating 5 rounds fired. In addition, 911 calls were received regarding a shooting in the area.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim, Ryan W. Greenwood, 30 years of age, with an apparent gunshot wound to the chest. Greenwood was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries where he was later pronounced deceased.

Crime Stoppers will pay $5000 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of any suspects.

Women's Care Center - Arson

On Monday, May 3, 2021 at 2:43 am, Peoria Police and Fire Department responded to the Women's Care Center at 7319 N. University on a report of a fire. The fire resulted in several thousands of dollars in damage and the Center having to relocate.  The cause of the fire was determined to be arson. Video was able to be recovered from the business which shows a single male suspect.

The Peoria Police Department is requesting assistance from the public with identifying the suspect seen in these images from the incident (Photos attached).

Criminal Damage to Property Investigation #21- 16896

The Peoria Police Department is investigating a criminal damage to property incident that occurred in the early morning hours of September 5th, 2021. The incident occurred at 8615 N. Knoxville. The suspect in this incident damaged the ATM machines and other property at this location using a sledgehammer. The suspect caused an estimated $20,000 in damage. The Peoria Police have been unable to identify the suspect at this time.
